Right across the street from BMW’s largest plant in the world, is a little slice of paradise dubbed the BMW Performance Center. From setting the longest drift record (51.278 miles) in an M5, riding a motorcycle over 30′ tall gravel hills, to leaning an X5 43° on an off-road obstacle course, this 134-acre facility is any car enthusiasts dream come true.
Me? Sure I got to ride along on occasion, but most of the time I was behind the lens of my Canon 5DMKIII getting new pictures for their facility and advertisements. From the driving instructor portraits, cafe, eager teenagers, skidpad, off-road, to planned composited hero images, we got every detail overturned in a 3-day period. I had quite the tan lines (and desire to own something with an M badge) after all was said and done. Enjoy, PHOTOS GALORE!!!
Props to Sean from Brains on Fire for setting everything up and running smoothly, and Jonathan Allsbrook for assisting from sunrise each day… Now I’m looking forward to shooting the new M3, M4, X4, and X7! Business is booming in little ‘ol South Carolina.
